About

As a lifelong advocate of exercise, health and well-being, I have enjoyed the calming and restorative benefits of Yoga throughout my adult life. I first qualified to teach Aerobics in the USA during my late teens. It was the era of Jane Fonda, unitards and rainbow leg warmers! Imagine that with a hint of the Kids from Fame and that was me! Coming back to the UK in my 20s I qualified to teach here and have taught on and off for many years since.

Like so many of us I’ve had varying degrees of injuries and pain, mainly with my back and herniated discs. This made me re-think what was, and is important to me, and being able to exercise ALL of my life is a must. Whether it be on a bike, in a pool, in the gym and now on a Yoga mat it all helps to keep me both mentally and physically strong.

I decided to take the plunge a few years ago and retrain to become a Yoga teacher. I now feel I have much more balanced approach to health and well-being. I’ve moved away from the high octane go for the burn type of exercise, to a more holistic whole approach. Yoga really does instill a sense of calmness and well-being whilst strengthening our bodies with the various asanas. On the most stressful of days, even 15 minutes on the mat will help re-balance your mind and body.
